Poppy's Second

Emily Bilbrey threw her daughter, Poppy, an owl themed birthday party. She had owl shaped sweets, and little owl dolls for party favors. And also had a few of our Owl Lollipops! But I just wanted to gush over the adorable party-- that I wish had been my own. Emily did a wonderful job of coordinating her daughter's sweet party.

You can find Emily's sweet blog here. And the lollies are avaliable here.

Much love,
Mariah

The Honey Trees

Heading towards a long day at Co-op. Not looking forward to it. But I stumbled across this lovely song by the band The Honey Trees. Never heard of them before, but they certainly set a peaceful mood. I'd also love to live within the music video. Enjoy!

Wish me luck!

It's simply a bunch of gorgeous stationary, that I just HAD to share! One of these days, I'm going to have to just spend a load of money on their sweet notebooks and cards!

Pretzels and Jonsi

So, I found this recipe on Rachel's Elephantine blog. They looked SO good, I just had to make them! I was going to wait and make them with Amanda, but I couldn't last.

This morning, I got my coffee, checked my Etsy, and cleaned the kitchen before recruiting a few siblings to help me. We followed this recipe, The Mall Pretzels. There is a video to make things much easier! We had to substitute All-Purpose Flower with Whole Wheat Flower, because we had run out.

We made two batches, 8 per batch. We made the classic, salty mall pretzels. And then we made some with brown sugar. The sugar ones were my favorite.

And for some tunes, we listened to Jonsi.

Until later,
Mariah

Tuesday Love

I've been fascinated with Elephants, as of late. Here are a few beautiful elephant themed pieces. They've infested my inspiration, and I wouldn't dare complain. They truly are peculiar, yet captivating creatures.

I found these intriguing photos on Steven Beckley's website. They are absolutely stunning! His work is gorgeous, but these were the ones that stood out the most to me. (I'm sure you can guess why.)
You can find more of his work for sale at his Etsy shop, StevenBeckly.

And for a little audio to go with it, I've been addicted to Rachael Yamagata's 'Elephant'.

I'd have to say that this was a nice 'first post'. I can't wait to post more!
Much love!
